Beth says “hi” in a sheepish voice

Author: Beth

Soooo…it’s been a long time.  I want to thank you all for not forgetting about me and an even bigger thanks for all of the thoughtful notes I received.   My headaches are the same as ever but I haven’t had a seizure since the end of May (knock on wood).  More importantly, my Mom is doing fantastic.  Her cancer is very serious, but (and I know this is a cliche, but it’s true) she hasn’t felt like more a vital, aware person ever before.  So please don’t hate me for not writing back.  Excuses, excuses, but my head hasn’t been in the game.  In fact, I think I’ve logged in to this here blog a total of 4 times since that last time I posted.  And that was only to delete spam.

But it’s getting down to the 30′s at night here in Chicago, official Autumn weather, the time is right to nest.  Time hunker down and make the house a true home, and time to burrow into the studio and do some real work.  Already my little kitchen is full of bread baking and cookie making smells.  And a few weeks ago I finished up these little guys
And sent them packing to:

Sorry for the blatant self-promotion.   But hey, what can you do.  They need to find new homes eventually.  I told them that I love then but they’re on their own now and can’t come back.

Since they left I’ve been working on some new projects.  I’m pretty excited since two of them are technique tutorials that will make it possible to offer the detail rich patterns that you have been waiting for in my etsy and raverly shops.  My goal is to have a new pattern ready for sale by the first week in January (the holidays always slow things down, don’t they?!)  So keep in touch for updates.

    Hello Beth!

It feels sooo good, hearing you and your family are okay! I love your work and your blog, but I know we’re all human and from time to time, we need a rest. Whatever the reason is.

So welcome back, Beth. And take care,
    Lana
